Het Zuid-Amerikaanse Chili heeft de hoop gevestigd op het organiseren van een MotoGP evenement in de nabije toekomst op het nog te bouwen Motorpark Santiago circuit. Het circuit wordt ontworpen door Hermann Tilke, beroemd ontwerper van Formule 1-circuits, met Kevin Schwantz als adviseur. Het Motorpark Santiago is een 180-hectare groot project dat wordt ontworpen volgens de homologatienormen van zowel de FIA als de FIM. Naast het hoofdcircuit zijn er ook plannen voor een motorcrosscircuit en een 1,4 km lange kartbaan.
